China’s total output of high-carbon ferro-chrome was approximately 490,000 tonnes in June.

News that several major producers had withdrawn from spot trading due to supply shortages has further strengthened China’s spot ferro-chrome market, sending spot prices in the week to Tuesday June 29 to their highest point since April.

Over the 2010s, there have been two high to low price cycles, with the start of 2020s already kicking off with the next one.

Whether the ferro-chrome market rises further remains to be seen.
