According to statistic of Japan Customs, Japan imported 21770 tons of silicon metal in October, up by 18.4% Y-O-Y. The materials were mainly imported from China with import volume at 21533 tons.

In September, Brazil exported 7936 tons of silicon metal (Si<99.99%), falling down by 29.7% M-O-M and down by 31.8% Y-O-Y. In Jan-Sept, 2014, Brazil totally exported 102504 tons of silicon metal, down by 0.95% Y-O-Y.
