[Ferro-alloys.com]Steel output of Russia’s Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) increased by 4% on the year to 3.188 million tonnes in January–March, the company said in a statement Tuesday.
Metal products output rose 3% to 2.919 million tonnes in the period, while high value-added products output fell 5% to 1.281 million tonnes. The share of high value-added products in total production decreased to 44% from 48% earlier.
Metal products sales increased by 8.6% to 2.822 million tonnes in January–March mainly due to rising exports by 29.2% and increased sales to Russian and CIS markets by 4.1%. (Source: MMK website)
