[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to data released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, the country’s iron ore exports totaled 24.46 million tons in March, increasing by 8.4% from year on year.
During the given month, China was the biggest export destination at 12.11 million tons, accounting for around 50% of exports.
During the first quarter, Brazil’s iron ore exports hit 71.8 million tons, up by 5.7% compared to the same period of last year. The export price was averaged at US$98.4/ton, dropping by 2.9% from the corresponding period a year ago.
