[Ferro-alloys.com]Russian aluminum exports dropped 23% on the year to 639,300 tonnes in January–March, the Federal Customs Service said in a statement Thursday. In monetary terms, exports slumped by 24% to U.S. $1.25 billion.
Nickel exports also decreased by 0.8% on the year to 51,600 tonnes in January–March, while copper exports gained 10% to 50,000 tonnes. In monetary terms, nickel exports fell 19% to $718 million, while copper exports remained flat at $349 million. In 2013, aluminum exports decreased 3.4% to 3.356 million tonnes.
