[Ferro-alloys.com] It's reported that Hyundai Steel and Dongkuk Steel in South Korean have submitted an anti-dumping petition on May 30 against Chinese H-beam, claiming they are selling to Korea at a price of 20% lower than in China.
The Korea Trade Commission will begin investigating and determine by early next year on whether Chinese companies have offended anti-dumping regulations.
According to an official of Korea Iron and Steel Association (KISA) that Chinese H-steel takes about 22% of Korea's 2 trillion won market portion and is sold at around 590,000 won/ton while Korean H-steel's price is at around 770,000 won/ton.
