According to statistics, the production volume of ferro-silicon in April 2014 (including a product of Si 75%) was 427,100 tons in China, down by 3.8% from the year-earlier month and down by 5.0% from the prior month.

The production volumes in Ningxia Hui and Gansu as a main producing area were 78,400 tons, down by 9.4% from the year-earlier month and 37,800 tons, down by 19.4% ditto respectively. The productions in other main producing areas in April were down as a whole.

For a reference, the cumulative total of production volume in the period from January to April was 1.7192 million tons, up by 2.4% from the year-earlier period.
