[Ferro-Alloys.com] In second ten-day of August, silicon metal price in US spot market rose up  again due to shortage supply of materials from Brazil and Australia. Presently, silicon metal 553# price increased to USD1.44-1.47/lb from the previously USD1.40-1.45/lb. One consumer in US purchased a lot of silicon metal even at USD1.50/lb.
