[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to the statistic, Chinese calcium carbide production was 2.018 million tons in July, up by 19.9% Y-O-Y. However, it dropped 9.5% compared with than in Jun 2014. In Jan-Jul, 2014, total production was 13.82 million tons, up by 8.7% Y-O-Y.

At present, the producers were unwilling to produce for the weak market. Some even has stopped production, which lead production going down from June. Meanwhile, the consumers don’t have much material with more and more producers cut production. Under this condition, some producers may slightly raise their offers or resume production in near future.
