Bushveld Minerals Limited (Bushveld Minerals) is an AIM-listed company exploring and developing iron ore and tin projects on the Bushveld Complex in South Africa. The company targets projects with potential for scale and favourable cost-curve positioning in well-understood geographies. The vision is to open a new frontier in iron ore mining and processing based on the Bushveld Complex in South Africa. The company’s flagship is the Bushveld Iron Ore Project which has a JORC-compliant titanomagnetite resource of 740 million tonnes and the potential to grow it to more than 1 billion tonnes. It is an exciting open-castable multi-commodity resource that has the potential to support more than 10 million tonnes production per annum. 

The Mokopane Tin Project is an exciting portfolio of open castable and shallow tin deposits in historical tin-producing localities, where the company aims to build up a South African tin resource inventory in excess of 50,000 tonnes, from an initial base of a 6,000 tonne open castable resource on one of five targets identified with known tin mineralisation.

Bushveld Iron Ore Project

The Bushveld Iron Ore Project comprises two licenses covering 7,409 ha where a JORC compliant open-castable resource of 740 million tonnes (comprising 350 million tonnes Indicated and a further 390 million tonnes Inferred) has been established from a 4.5 km strike length. Further drilling along strike is expected to significantly add to the resource on the basis of identified strike extensions several kilometres long to the north and south of the project area. The extensions were identified based on an interpretation, undertaken by the Company’s geologists, of regional geophysical and geochemical surveys, conducted by the Council of Geoscience (CGS), as well as satellite imagery interpretation. This potential will be evaluated by securing the Prospecting Rights to these contiguous properties, followed by further drilling before any addition to the stated Mineral Resource can be contemplated.

Mokopane Tin Project

The Mokopane Tin Project consists of one licence covering 13,422 ha where numerous targets for open-castable disseminated tin resources have been identified. The Company has explored and drilled one target (Groenfontein) and has short-term plans to explore a further four targets. The Company has established a JORC resource in excess of 5,000 tonnes of tin on the first target drilled, and is looking to expand the resource base by undertaking an exploration and drilling programme on other targets in the licence area as well as in areas currently under application. In the longer term, the Company intends to expand the resource base further by acquiring additional projects in the Bushveld Complex and elsewhere
