[Ferro-Alloys.com]After four days’ rebound, LME nickel price sharply declined on Sept.9th because of the mines news from Philippines.
During the second week of Sept., one representative in Philippines suggested to ban the exports of Unprocessed metal ore for improving the added value of ores. The news encouraged the nickel price, which improved by USD1395/mt in four days. However, on Sept., 9th, one representative in Philippines said even if the ban was issued, there would have another five years’ grace period for traders. Therefore, in short time, the nickel ores supply would be affected. It could be seen that the LME nickel price then dropped back. On Sept., LME nickel price closed at USD18925/mt, decreasing by USD1005 than the day before while the stock increased by 108 to 332142tons.
