[Ferro-alloys.com] USITC latest statistics showed the US imported 24,397 mt of ferrosilicon in July 2014, soaring up 141% from 10,144 mt of June 2014 and slightlyup 7.2% from 22,754 mt of July 2013.

In July 2014, the US reduced imports of ferrosilicon from China and Canada, but increased imports from Russia (14,250 mt) The major import sources of June 2014 were China (5,177 mt), Canada (2,945 mt) and only 81mt of Russian ferrosilicon.

In the first seven months of 2014, the US totally imported 158,621 mt of ferrosilicon, nearly 6,000 mt more from 152,776 mt of the same period of 2013.
