[Ferro-Alloys.com] It is said that imported manganes ore market in China kept calm after traditional mid autumn festival. Australian Mn46 lumps are currently focused on RMB33.5-34/mtu and the same for Mn48 sand ore. South African Mn38 lumps are pricing at RMB29-29.5/mtu while RMB32.5-33.5/mtu for Mn32%Fe20%. Gabonese Mn 45-46 lumps are now lingered about RMB31.5-32/mtu while RMB30.5-31.5/mtu for Brazilian Mn 44-45 lumps and RMB29-29.5/mt for sand ore.

In terms of new round shipment from oversea miners, several main oversea miners also lifted up October manganese ore shipment to China on the heel of BHP. It is said that CML edged Mn46% Fe6% SI14% P0.05% lump ore up to USD4.68/mtu from USD4.65/mtu for September (CIF,China). Mn43% Fe<5% sand ore for Eramet Comilog was lifted up to USD4.15/mtu (CIF, China) from USD4.1/mtu, while Mn44-45% Fe<5% lump ore was pushed up to USD 4.35/ mtu from USD 4.3/mtu.

In short, rising labor cost and capital spending but lowering sale is approaching alloy suppliers’ bearing capacity, especially for those in south areas. Given that into consideration, it is predicted that imported manganese ore spot market in China would still need some time to pick up.
