CVK Mineral ve Madencilik meets half of the total of Turkey’s chromium production on its own and its chromium reserve is approximately 100 million tons. The lead – zinc – copper reserve amounts of the company amount to 30 million tons and it is among the most important actors of Turkish mining with the 10 million cubic meters of marble and travertine deposits it owns.

 

CVK Mineral ve Madencilik A? is the flagship of the CVK Group companies and it has rich chromium licenses in Adana, Sivas, Erzincan and Bursa. The chromium ore is used as the raw material of ferrochrome that is used in stainless steel production and in the production of refractory bricks. Besides the chromium ore that CVK Group produces from its licensed permits, the company also exports the chromium ore through CVK D?? Ticaret, which it purchases from other Turkish manufacturers. This makes CVK Group the biggest company of Turkey in both chromium production and chromium export.

 

CVK Group has managed to be one of the powerful chromium companies of the world and its enterprises in this field brought to the company a partnership in 2009 with Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) TISCO, the world’s biggest stainless steel manufacturer, and Jinzhou Wanbang, one of the biggest ferrochromium establishments of Northern China. The partnership contract undersigned a first time agreement in the world and the first vertical integration in the sector was displayed.

 

This international partnership carries the property of being the biggest direct government investment in the Turkish Republic by the People’s Republic of China so far.
