Chelyabinsk Electric Factory presented ore-smelting furnace of Norwegian company Vatvedt.
The most advanced presently manufacturing furnace was commissioned at the leading ferroalloy producer in Russia. The main contractor of the project was the Norwegian company Vatvedt.
According to portal chelindustry.ru, the new furnace allows ferro alloys with lower cost just by saving on electricity. This in turn allows CHEMK to market engineering enough power to heat the whole area in Chelyabinsk. As mentioned above, eco-friendly stove, and it helps to minimize emissions into atmosphere. This unique machine for the production of ferroalloys began in August 2013 at the shop №8. 1.5 billion rubles was allocated to the project and investors expect to recoup the investment over 5 years.
It should be noted that such technology has never before been used in the domestic steel industry. The furnace operates without the use of coke at one corner. And it reduces the cost of production.
