[Ferro-alloys.com] Silicon metal price kept flat in mid-October in China. And price in European and America slightly increased. Electricity price in Yunnan would be turned up because the low-water seasons were drawing near. Silicon metal price would keep firm at that time.

Until mid-October, quotations were as follows: Kunming delivered price for off-grade Si553#, RMB12,500-12,600/mt, Si553#, RMB13,100-13,200/mt and Si441#, RMB13,500-13600/mt; Tianjin port price for Si421#, RMB14,300-14,400/mt and Si411#, RMB14,500-14,600/mt; Si2202# and Si3303# prices were much higher.

Export market of Si metal: Silicon metal export price stayed steady in mid-October except for Si2202#. Si2,202# was USD2,570-2,620/mt FOB, up by USD70/mt compared to last week . Until mid-October, Si553# was USD 2,100-2,150/mt FOB, Si441# was USD 2,260-2,300/mt FOB, Si421# was USD2,310-2,330/mt FOB, Si 411# was USD2,330-2,350/mt FOB, Si3,303# was USD2,400-2,440/mt FOB.

Western Si metal price rose up in mid-October. European Si 553# price was EUR 2230-2300/mt; the US was 145-147cents/lb. Indian silicon metal price was about USD2220/mt CIF. The price meant for Japan was US$2,200 per ton CIF. Korea Si441# was USD 2300-2370/mt CIF.

Analysis: The low-water seasons was drawing near and electricity price would be turned up .Then silicon metal price would also be turned up. Spot materials in silicon metal market would become fewer, so silicon metal price would keep firm further.
