Great Increase of Import Volume of Albania Origin Chrome Ore in Sept 2014

[Ferro-Alloys.com]China’s import volume of chrome ore totaled 7,486,503 tons in Jan-Sept 2014, among which 4,462,060 tons are from South Africa, 1,105,680 tons from Turkey ,471,730 tons from Albania and 374,897 tons from Iran.

 

There is a great increase of the import volume of Albania origin chrome ore in Sept 2014, which breaks the 100,000 tons level, getting closer to the import volume of Turkey origin chrome ore. This was due to the declining quality of Turkey chrome ore and the ferrochrome producers preferred the better quality of Albania origin chrome ore, which has increased the import volume from Albania, one ferrochrome producer said.
