The market continued to pick up till mid-October after China National Day. However, it turned to a slightly declining trend at the moment. Albeit the production cost in the southern region as a main producing area was up from September, the accumulated stock the producers made in the summer time was discharged and pushed down the price. As there is an anticipation of the production decreasing on a full scale in December, the outlook about the market is unclear and the producers and trading firms have a strong mentality to take a wait-and-see attitude which leads to being negative about concluding a contract for December.
In Japan, while there are customers which have already procured what they require by January and December of next year, many of customers are taking a wait-and-see attitude with a reluctance in buying due to yen depreciation, which leads to a thin trading.
