[Ferro-Alloys.com] This week, manganese alloy spot market in China failed to show any improvement for slowing down demand. Silicon manganese 6517 is currently pricing at RMB6,000-6,200/mt and RMB5,300-5,400/mt for 6014. High carbon ferromanganese 65 is now concentrating on 5,400-5,500/mt. Medium carbon ferromanganese 75C2.0 with low p containing is focusing on RMB8,100-8,200/mt while RMB8,400-8,500/mt for 78C2.0 as well as RMB8,800-9,000/mt for 78C1.5. Low carbon ferromanganese 80C0.7 is traded at RMB9,600-9,700/mt.

As for steel mills purchase, NISCO put Nember silicon manganese 6517 bidding edged down by RMB30/mt from preceeding month to RMB 6,630/mt , whilie high carbon ferromanganese 65 with low P contain dropped by RMB120/mt to RMB5,480/mt. Meanwhile, low carbon ferromanganese 800.4 was knocked down to RMB10,300/mt. Benxi Steel Group put November- December purchase on silicon manganese with RMB6,318/mt while RMB5,350/mt for high carbon ferromanganese 65. Meanwhile, medium carbon 78C2.0 was set to RMB 8,250/mt. Shandong Steel Group set silicon manganese November bidding to RMB6,380/mt while RMB5,350/mt for high carbon ferromanganese 65. Meanwhile, Tianjin Steel Group only purchase 290 mt high carbon ferromanganese 65 with RMB5,380/mt in November and only 120 mt for medium carbon 78C2.0 with RMB8,350/mt.

In conclusion, increasing cost in southern areas of China made increasing number of producers’ reluctuant to sell product with low price, but whether or not manganese alloy future market can rebound would be still depend largely on stuble change between supply and demand.
