[Ferro-Alloys.com]Chile's iron ore exports have increased in 2014 due to strong demand from China.
According to the Sociedad Nacional de Mineria de Chile (SONAMI), Chile’s iron ore exports reached 14.12 million tons, up by 15.2% or 1.86 million tons from 2013.
The exports to China increased by 17.9% to 11.27 million tons year on year.
The export price on average was at US$84.3/ton, dropping by 25.6% or US$29/ton from the previous year.
