[Ferro-Alloys.com] The biggest concern for companies making cored wires might be the price. Prices for major kinds of cored wires continued their drops this month. When will prices pick up, some believe they will drop further, while Mr. Wang, sales manager from Henan Yonghong Metallurgical Material Co., Ltd predicts prices will pick up as early as early October.
Yonghong owns 8 lines producing calcium, CaSi, carbon and other kinds of cored wires.
Now due to reduced orders from steel mills, they produce calcium cored wires only and monthly volume averages 80 tons.
Their products mainly go to steel mills in Hebei and Shandong. Why not sell them on local market? Mr. Wang explains by saying that local steel mills often offer too low a price.
The management is currently seeking to cooperate with middleman to tap into oversea market.
