According to Chinese Customs statistics, in December 2015, China's iron ore imports totaled 96.27 million tons, an increase of 10.8% year on year, as the highest monthly import volumes for the 2015. 
 
During January-December of 2015, China imported 952.72 million tons of iron ore, an increase of 2.2% year on year to 38 million tons.
