[Ferro-Alloys.com] In 2015，the total production of silicon metal in  Yunnan was 584,390 tons, up (579,900 tons) 0.8% M-O-M, while cumulative production of silicon metal Xinjiang was 723,180 tons, in addition to silicon metal production in the third quarter slightly lower than Yunnan, silicon metal and 2015 national total output of 2,545,457 tons in 2015, Yunnan region accounted for more than 22.96% of domestic production, Xinjiang silicon metal production accounted for 28.41% of the total. As predicted, as the market demand weakened and the impact the shutdown of production during the dry season in December 2015, Chinese silicon metal production was about 174,730 tons, compared with 222,270 tons in November to reduce 21.39% M-O-M.

While from Jan. to Sep. Dehong Yunnan province industrial economic operation statewide there are 33 silicon production enterprises 66 furnaces, and only operated 44 furnaces, so the operating rate was 66%, down 16.42% Y-O-Y. The totalproduction was 153,400 tons, down by 2.9% Y-O-Y. The first half 2015, Dehong silicon smelting 60,000 tons, down 9.3% Y-O-Y.
