Fast Growth of Imported Fe-Ni Is Threatening Domestic Industry (Feb 29th-Mar 4th)

[www.ferro-alloys.com] This week, Fe-Ni shows not too much changes. Low grade (1.6-1.8) was mainly quoted at 1670CNY per ton. Medium grade (4-6) was mainly quoted at 710CNY per ton as (6-8) was quoted at the same price. High grade (10-15) was mainly quoted at 700CNY per ton.

Recently, high grade Fe-Ni inventory shows a shortage signal and factories are mostly not willing to make a deal, waiting for a better market.

Low grade Fe-Ni’s output has been lowered whose price is expected to go up. A Shandong maker plans to produce medium grade products instead of previous grade. Compared to the last year-end, nowadays production has been decreasing slightly. Yet buyers’ appetite for low grade remains optimistic and positive.
