According to United States steel import monitoring and analysis of data released by the Ministry of Commerce recently, United States Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) has announced in February this year, United States steel import permit applications totaled around 2.283 million short tons in January, down by 20% to 2.841 million short tons; down by 11% year on year 2.577 million short tons.

In February this year, US’s finished steel import permit applications were 1.854 million short tons, down by 16% month on month to 2.217 million short tons;
