According to NIPPON STEEL & SUMITOMO METAL(NSSM) announced that the company planned to upgrade its Kashima factory, in order to improve product quality and cost competitiveness.

The Kashima factory will be adjusted the allocation of hot-rolling production line equipment, and upgrade production line. The total investment is expected to reach ¥10 billion.

In fact, the quality and cost of hot-rolled coil will directly affect the quality and cost　of cold-rolled and coated products. The adjustment will strengthen sheet products to be more competitive.
