The market price has been up, showing a warming trend.

The price of cold steel strip in April has been up by RMB1, 000/mt, which si mainly supported by the price adjustment by steel mills who has few inventory.

“The calcium products have embraced the price rise in April, probably the price rise will continue in May.” According to many producers from Shanxi and Henan.

First of all, the materials price rise supports the market price rise. The price of reduced calcium stands at RMB12, 500/mt. According to the international analysis, the price of electrolytic aluminum is expected to return to RMB14, 000/mt, thus the cost of reduced calcium will further increase.

Moreover, the domestic calcium products consumption has increased gradually. Many steel mills place much significance on the calcium wire that can cut the cost. Recently, the Ca cored wires utilization has been expanded home and abroad. According to the producers and traders in Shanxi, Henan and Hebei, at the end of April, the calcium tablets , calcium wires and Ca cored wires have been sold out.

According to incomplete survey, the demand for SiCa cored wires and FeCa cored wires remains weak still. But with the boom of market price rise, both of them also embrace price rise ,which are supported by materials price rise.

Concerning the purchase by steel mills, the demand for Ca cored wires has been up. Ma Steel, An Steel and Xiangtan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd choose Ca cored wires or seamless Ca cored wires, other cored wires like C cored wires ,Al cored wires and FeTi cored wires also have been purchased.

Sorrow and joy coexist in the operation state of the companies. Although the market shows a warming trend, the market price fluctuation is hard to control. Due to years of depression and the influence of policy of environmental protection and de-capacity policy, many companies withdrew the market.

Conclusively, the cored wires market shows a warming trend. But according to the insiders, currently, we still have to keep calm because of the long-term influence of over production capacity.
