Ferro-Alloys.com : Chinese Ferro Silicon 75% grade price has been decreased since last week. Price offered at 5450yuan/exw in Ningxia, and 5400-5500yuan/mt exw in Inner Mongolia, while, EC and USA market of ferro silicon seems stable.

In March, Price of Ferro silicon rose to 6000yuan/mt ext and smelters began to produce in March, but demands from local market were not increased, and over supply pressure made price drop in Spot market. Price also dopped to lowest price at 5100yuan/mt in  Future market for May settelment. Even today, price is bounced to 5460yuan/mt in Future market , rose by 216yuan/mt.

In Export benchmarket, FeSi  export price offered usd1080-1100/mt FOB CMP ,droped around usd100/mt since March.but in spot market, there is no big quantity concluded even at such price.

From consumer side, Steel Mills will decide to buy in this week for May delivery, so it is very critical time in this week, whether the price of Fesi go down further or stable.Over supply and hard competetion is the key facotr to influene the price.

In Ec and USA market,European market price of ferro silicon were stable at Eur1220-1330( about usd1324-1450)per ton and usd0.75-0.79/lb Si(about usd1245-1310)  in Warehouse in USA .

Ferro-Alloys.com Comments: FeSi price drop is going slowly this week, and Future market today rose by 5%, and means investors  buy more in Future market, and push the price up, that will effect the spot price of fesi, which it will be following,from demands side, steel mills may not get lower price than Future marktet. So, Fesi price may be unchanged and keep sme price as April in May delivery.
