[ferro-alloys.com] After the Chinese New Year, vanadium market in China is mainly stable, prices of vanadium products fluctuate slightly in main stabilization. Offer of raw material vanadium pentoxide flake of main large-size enterprises maintains stable and price of vanadium pentoxide flake 98% maintains at around RMB 180,000/MT, offer of cash including VAT of Ferrovanadium 50% is at RMB 185,000 to 186,000/MT, offer of cash including VAT of vanadium-nitrogen alloy is at RMB 275,000 to 280,000/MT. Price of tender of vanadium-nitrogen alloy of Nanjing steel in March is RMB 280,000/MT (acceptance including VAT, including bidding service fee),and the quantity is 100 tons, drop to a slight extent from the price before the Chinese New Year; under the support of firm price of raw material, drop space of vanadium alloys is limited. Currently, vanadium market trading does not fully recover, the sellers and the buyers are waiting and seeing the change in the market, most vanadium alloy plants are executing the contracts in earlier stage, their orders are comparatively sufficient, meanwhile, they have more demand for raw material vanadium pentoxide flake. Quantity of preparing vanadium alloys of steel mills before the Chinese New Year are not much and a new round bidding will be launched in the near future.
International vanadium price continues to rise, Price of European Ferrovanadium ≥78% rises to 60.4-61.7 USD/kg; price of vanadium pentoxide 98% rises to 13.5-13.8 USD/lb, converting into prices in china: price of Ferrovanadium 50% is at RMB 191,500 -195,600/MT, price of vanadium pentoxide 98% is at RMB 184,900-189,000/MT. Currently, prices of European Ferrovanadium and vanadium pentoxide have already exceeded the Chinese prices.
Along with the increase of demand and application of vanadium, vanadium pries at home and abroad look to further increase, it is expected that Chinese vanadium market will continue to be stable in the short term, bidding result of a new round of steel mills is paid close attention by the industry, which will guide the market behavior more clearer.
