Currently, the price of magnesium in North America is US $5,000 per tonne. Imagine the value of a deposit with millions of tonnes of magnesium. The Record Ridge South project has over 7 million tonnes of recoverable magnesium. And it is 100% owned by West High Yield Resources.

Magnesium is the eighth most common element in the earth's crust however, finding economic deposits of magnesium is a rare occurrence. Having the right location, grade and market conditions is essential.

West High Yield's Record Ridge Project is located in the historic Rossland mining camp of southern British Columbia, a location typically unencumbered by First Nations treaty issues. The project is a short drive from the towns of Rossland (10 km) and Trail, BC (30 km).

Skilled labour, roads, rail, power, natural gas and water are all plentiful in this stable, pro-mining area.

The Record Ridge South magnesium deposit sits on a 6,220 ha project area. At present, it has 77 drill holes at 50 to 100 metre spacings drilled to an average depth of 135 metres.

This drilling has revealed mineralization with rare and potentially rich characteristics: Consistent high grade mineralization that starts near surface, and is flat lying.

The resource area measures approximately 1 km by up to 650 metres and remains open in all directions.

West High Yield recently released an NI 43-101 resource estimate for the property with measured and indicated resources of 39.8 million tonnes grading 23.1% Mg. This equates to 9.16 million tonnes of contained Mg. With recovery rates of 78.6%, the total recoverable resources tops 7.14 Mt of magnesium. (This does not take into account dilution and losses during mining operations.)
