Today, the price of South African chrome ore powder 40%-42% is 38-39RMB/dmt in the spot market.The price of mainstream chrome ore block 40%-42% is 61-63RMB/dmt. The inventory of chrome ore was kept in high level, and some plants also kept some inventory.Very few tradings have been completed. The bidding price was decreased by ton Cr 50basis. Some plants who kept some low price future goods could not maintain the production cost level in the late period.

The South African chrome ore price fell down. South African chrome ore 42% was quoted  225-230USD/T. Turkish chrome ore block 42% was quoted 320-330USD/T. Turkish chrome ore powder 46%-48% was quoted 330-340USD/T.Following the fall of mainstream chrome ore block price, the price of some South African future goods was cut down. As the largest country of consuming ferronchrome and chrome ore, their declined demands for the stainless steel and their falling price of stainless steel affected the South African chrome ore and other kinds of chrome ore. Because only few tradings of mainstream ore have been completed, the price could be negotiable.The market belongs to the buyers.
