According to data released by the Japan's Ministry of Finance, the country's exports of stainless steel flat products totaled 406,203 tonnes in the first half of 2012, falling by 14.2% YoY.
In the given period of time, China was the largest importer of the Japanese stainless steel flat products with 96,214 tonnes, falling by 15.2%; South Korea was the second largest one with 91,319 tonnes, decreasing by 8.8%; Taiwan was the third largest one with 52,015 tonnes, declining by 17.7%, all compared to that in the same period of a year earlier.
In June 2012 alone, Japan's exports of stainless steel flat products totaled 71,283 tonnes, surging by 12.9% MoM while falling by 8.7% YoY.
