CRUDE STEEL PRODUCTION INCREASED BY 6.6% YEAR-on-YEAR
According to World Steel Association report, the production of global crude steel rose to 154.9 million tonnes year-on-year by 6.6% in May.
U.S:
As compared to May 2017, the production of crude steel this May rose by 3% year-on-year to 7.1 MT.
CHINA:
In May, the production of crude steel has grown to 8.1 MT by 8.9%.
INDIA:
While contrasting it with May 2017, 7.6% has been increased to 8.8 MT production of crude steel this May.
JAPAN:
1.8% year-on-year increase in production of crude steel to 9.1 MT in May.
BRAZIL:
In May, 2.7 MT production of crude steel decreased by 8.6% as compared to last year May.
ITALY:
Italy output grew by 3.7% year-on-year to 2.2 MT of crude steel.
SPAIN:
The production of crude steel this May increased by 7% year-on-year to 1.3 MT.
FRANCE:
The production output of crude steel fell to 1.3 MT by 6.5% year-on-year.
SOUTH KOREA:
6.2 MT in May production of crude steel was escalated by 3%.
TURKEY:
In May, the crude steel output hiked to 3.3 MT by 0.5%.
AFRICA:
The output rose by 4.1% year-on-year this May.
SOUTH AFRICA:
568000 crude steel has been produced, 2.6% year-on-year increased.
The capability consumption of crude steel ratio of 64 countries reported by World Steel was 77.7% in May. Comparatively in May 2017, 4.2% points greater and just 1% upper than in April 2018.
