Yesterday, the LME nickel was quoted at 13545USD/T by the end of trading.In the morning, influenced by LME nickel price trend and Chinese economic index in 2Q18, the price of future nickel in Shanghai Future Exchange decreased in general. Compared to Wuxi 1808 contract, the premium of Russian nickel was 150RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 1050RMB/T. Today, Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel (big board) at 110000RMB/T. The mainstream price was between 108900RMB/T and 110000RMB/T.

Now, it is slack season of stainless steel products. Parts of stainless steel plants halted their production for overhaul.The demand for ferronickel was restricted. What’s more, it needs some time to resume ferronickel production due to environmental protection inspection. The supply was limited. So, the price of ferronickel kept steady. Today, the high grade ferronickel was quoted at 1070-1085RMB/Nickel, and the low grade ferronickel was quoted at 3400-3500RMB/T.
