By the end of trading, the LME nickel was quoted at 13560 USD/T. It was 55 USD/T lower than the price on Monday. In the morning, due to the fall of LME nickel price, the price of future nickel dropped down a little in Shanghai Future Exchange. Compared to Wuxi 1809 contract, the premium of Russian nickel was 200 RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 1850 RMB/T. Today, Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 113500 RMB/T. It was teh same as the price yesterday.

The domestic environmental protection inspection has come into the second period. The inspection will enter into the main ferronickel production areas including Inner Mongolia. It may have a big influence on the output of ferronickel. Few traders quoted their products in the market. The ferronickel market kept steady. Today, the high grade ferronickel was quoted at 1085-1100 RMB/Nickel in Inner Mongolia. In Shandong, Jiangsu and Liaoning Provinces, the price of high grade ferronickel remained at 1090-1110 RMB/Nickel. The low grade ferronickel was quoted at 3250-3350 RMB/T.
