[Ferro-Alloys.com] It is reported that the four major stainless producers including Acerinox, ThyssenKrupp, Aperam and Outokumpu have announced to reduce the alloy surcharges for 304, 316 and 430 grade cold rolled (CR) stainless steel products for September, due to lower nickel prices and debt crisis in euro zone.
It’s known that the average alloy surcharges for 304 grade cold rolled coils (CRC) with thickness of 2mm for September have fallen to a 12 month low at €1,320/ton, decreasing by €52/ton from the average of €1,372/ton for August.
Meanwhile, the average alloy surcharges for 316 grade CRC with thickness of 2mm for September are at €1,978/ton, falling by 6% from the average of €2,099/ton for August.
In addition, the average alloy surcharges for 430 grade CRC with thickness of 2mm are at €507/ton for September, down by €3/ton from €510/ton for August.
