Cored wire technology is cored wire manufacturing technology and application technology. Coil of cored wire is divided into inner tap and outer tap. Coil of inner tap can feed cored wire into steel ladle directly through wire feeder and conduit device. Coil steel bar of outer tap places the cored wire onto turntable of the feeding device and feeds the cored wire into the steel ladle through wire feeder and conduit.

In order to control the feeding amount and feeding rate of cored wire, wire feeder is equipped with a feeding length counter and rate change controller to control the overall length. Wire feeder is generally divided into single line and double line. Single-line and double-line feeding by turns is available. Wire feeder is small in size and flexible in operation, which can meet the requirements of steel ladle wire feeding process.

Feeding cored wire into molten steel through wire feeder can change composition and form of occluded foreign substances in steel to improve mechanical property of steel and unlock the water gap as well.
