[ferro-alloys.com]PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM) announced that the Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with both the State Polytechnic of Malang on the Development of Diploma III Study Program and the Syiah Kuala University of Banda Aceh in terms of Academic Development on October 3, 2018 at Indonesia Business & Development Expo 2018 in Surabaya.

ANTAM's Human Capital and Corporate Social Responsibility Director, Johan NB. Nababan said:

"As a part of implementation of Company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Excellence, one of our priority segment on ANTAM's CSR is Human Resources Development. Through the MoU Signing with a potential university institution, reflecting Company's positive commitment in terms of development on higher education quality, especially in the State Polytechnic of Malang and the Syiah Kuala University of Banda Aceh."

The cooperation between ANTAM and State Polytechnic of Malang will stand for 5 years which covers the development of the Diploma III in Mining Technology, Education workshops and training activity, Scholarships program, Student field practices, Student community services in mining operational area, Applied research activity and Provision of human resources as lectures in industry.  

Meanwhile, the cooperation between ANTAM and the Syiah Kuala University of Banda Aceh is standing for 4 years which covers such as: the academic and joint study activity through the information exchange on exploration and mineral potential study in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province, Potential research funding program, Collaboration in research on development of good mining practices,  researcher lecture and student internship program.       

ANTAM currently has 7 excellent programs for the implementation of corporate social responsibility which consisting of development of access and educational quality, development of access and health services quality, development of local economic activity, preservation of society sociocultural values,  Environmental conservation and rehabilitation, Capacity building of community institutions and local government and other community development programs.
