Auctioned of 19 iron ore mines

The legislature on Thursday said 19 iron ore mines having holds worth 581.5 million tons (MT) have been sold as on date.

In a composed answer to Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Mines Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary stated: "As on date, 19 squares of iron mineral have been effectively unloaded with a save of 581.577 million tons." Additionally, he stated, two iron ore mines having a stores of 93.87 MT have likewise been put for offering in Odisha and is at present in the offering stage.

"To guarantee supply of crude material by opportune sale of leases lapsing in 2020....the focal government has revised the Mineral Conservation and Development Rules, 2017...making it obligatory for the rent holders to do G2 level investigation over the whole mineralized zone by April 1, 2019," the minister said.
