By the end of trading, LME nickel was quoted at 12425 USD/T. It was 15 USD/T higher than the price on Tuesday. The traders were not positive in the market of Shanghai future nickel.Although LME nickel price went up, the price of electrolytic nickel did not rise up. Compared with Wuxi 1905 contract, the premium of Russian nickel was 700-800 RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 3500 RMB/T. Today, Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 100700 RMB/T. It was 300 RMB/T lower than the price yesterday.

The market of stainless steel was still in downturn. The purchase prices of ferronickel by several mills went down compared with the prices in last period. So, the price of ferronickel kept on falling today. The mainstream price of high grade ferronickel was 960-970 RMB/Nickel, and the price of low grade ferronickel was 3200-3400 RMB/T.
