[Ferrosilicon Tender] This week, HBIS Group released its ferrosilicon 72# tender price of January, 2020, which was 6150 yuan per ton, up by 100 yuan per ton than last month, and it undoubtedly has strengthened the market confidence.

[Spot Market] At the beginning of this week, the first snowfall in 2020 influenced the transportation of many areas in Northern China. Moreover, the Spring Festival is near and near, the transportation pressure would be more serious in a way. Currently, the ferrosilicon trading volumes reduced due to the weaker demand. The ferrosilicon price stained flat with last week and it expected stable before the Festival. But we also need to pay close attention to the change of price which caused by the change of relation between supply and demand.

[Ferrosilicon Futures 2005 Contract] The 2005 ferrosilicon contract price on ZCE opened at 5852, closed at 5800, and the highest price was 5866, the lowest price was 5762, the settlement price was 5790. The trading volumes were 106.5 thousand tons and the position was 45518.

[Steel] Shougang Group released its price of steel productions of February, 2020, which changed little. This week, the production of steel declined slightly and the inventories increased. It was expected that the production would increase as the emergency responses to the heavy pollution relieved, but the cold winter lowed the demand for steel, then the transaction trend was not that good and the price of steel productions would be in a consolidation.
