[Ferro-Alloys.com] Tongwei Co. Ltd. has signed the 40,000 tons high purity polysilicon project in Baoshan city Yunnan province.

The total invest capital was estimate RMB 4 billion and the project planned to start in the first half year of 2020 and will be start to work in the end of Nov. 2021. according to the report, the development of high purity polysilicon and solar cell business from 2020 to 2023, the capacity will reach to 220,000 tons to 290,000 tons and the solar cells capacity will reach to 80 to 100GW.

Now the company capacity of high purity polysilicon is 80,000 tons and 20GW solar cell.
