[ferro-alloys.com]Although the index of U.S dollar went up, LME nickel price rose up due to rising of Shanghai future nickel yesterday. By the end of trading, LME nickel was quoted at 13725 USD/T. It rose up by 165 USD/T. The domestic market of future nickel was still in upturn. However, the trading volume was less, so the price rose up only a little. Compared with Shanghai future nickel 2008 contract, the discount of Russian nickel was 500 RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 300-400 RMB/T. Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 108500 RMB/T. It was 500 RMB/T the price on last trading day.

The stainless-steel market was stable, so was the ferronickel price. Today, the mainstream price of high-grade ferronickel was 960-965 RMB/Nickel, and the price of low-grade ferronickel was 3300-3450 RMB/T.
