According to the data of Turkish Steel Manufacturers Association, Turkey’s crude steel output reached 3.1 million tons in July,2020, an increase of 7.5% year-on-year.
While the latest statistics published by the World Steel Association, in July, crude steel production in 64 countries included in the World Iron and Steel Association statistics was 152.7 million tons, a decrease of 2.5% year-on-year.
In July, Turkey's crude steel exports fell 1.6% to 1.9 million tons from a year earlier, to $1.3 billion (8.891 billion yuan), down 8.7% from a year earlier. The imports of crude steel in Turkey were 1.2 million tons, up 17.4 percent from a year earlier, and imports were $792 million, down 11.1 percent from a year earlier.
From January to July, the Turkey's crude steel output was 19.4 million tons, down 2.4% from the same period last year, while exports were 11.8 million tons, down 9.9% from the same period last year.
