[ferro-alloys.com]FED decided to remain the benchmark interest rate at nearly zero. The index of U.S dollar went up. So, LME nickel price went down. Yesterday, LME nickel was quoted at 15215 USD/T by the end of trading. It dropped down by 25 USD/T. Due to upturn of U.S dollar index, the future nickel price dropped down in domestic market. Compared with Shanghai future nickel 2010 contract, the discount of Russian nickel was 450-550 RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 1500-1600 RMB/T. Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 117500 RMB/T. It was 2800 USD/T lower than the price on last trading day.

The stainless-steel market was in downturn, and ferronickel price could not rise. In Jiangsu, Shandong Provinces, the high-grade ferronickel price reached 1165 RMB/T at most. In Inner Mongolia and Liaoning Province, the price was 1155-1165 RMB/Nickel. The low-grade ferronickel price remained at 3300-3450 RMB/T.
