China’s Dec Exports of EMM up 21.7% MoM

[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to latest data conducted by Customs Statistics, China’s EMM exports for December picked up compared with Nov. China exported 3,381tons of electrolytic manganese during December, increasing by 21.7% m-o-m, and up by 12.06% y-o-y. The total export value of electrolytic manganese was USD8, 606,533.
 
Japan, South Africa and Saudi Arabia were the major customers during this month. Japan took the first place in importing 2215mt of electrolytic manganese in December. The second was Saudi Arabian which imported 500mt, South Africa was 210mt, what was different from last month was that South Africa the importing quantum had dropped greatly from last month (856mt). Holland was 200mt, Russian was 80mt and United States was 60mt, other countries were mostly less than 50mt.
 
Some insiders opinioned that the remove of EMM traffic which had brought some effects on the customers’ purchasing strategies. Thus most market players had stopped importing before the New Year.
