China Both domestic spot prices and export prices rose again, to their highest levels since March 2018. Bullish sentiment extended, with steel mills restocking ahead of the country’s Spring Festival (February 11-17). Futures prices have softened in the past week, but the latest price was still considered high. The most actively traded May ferro-silicon futures contract price on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange closed at 7,482 yuan ($1,158) per tonne on January 20, down by 448 yuan per tonne (5.6%) from 7,930 yuan per tonne.
