During the Spring Festival, the international molybdenum market all the way up, the international molybdenum price continued to rise. Supported by the international molybdenum price rise, the domestic molybdenum alloy market rose strongly after the festival. As of Friday, the domestic price of ferromolybdenum60# is 103,000-105,000 yuan/ ton; the price of molybdenum concentrate 40%-45% is about 1,560-1,580 yuan/ton; the mainstream price of molybdenum oxide is 1,620-1,640 yuan/ton. During the Spring Festival, the international price of molybdenum oxide exceeded $12. On Thursday, the price of molybdenum oxide in Europe was $12.30-12.40/ pound of molybdenum, compared with $12/ pound of molybdenum on Friday and $11.75/ pound of molybdenum a week ago. It is reported that as of today, the ferromolybdenum steel plant bidding volume in February 2021 has reached 1050 tons. Affected by the rising of international molybdenum prices, although the domestic molybdenum market inquiry is more active, but domestic manufacturers generally up or not to quote, holding goods looking forward to rising mood. In the later period, the shipment of molybdenum ore and the bidding of steel mills in the northern region are still the focus of market participants.
