[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to data of National Bureau of Satistics, in Jan-Feb, China produced 144.752 million tons of pig iron, a year-on-year increase of 6.4% and daily output was 2.453 million tons; crude steel production in Jan-Feb was 174.989 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.9% and daily average output was 2.966 million tons; steel production in Jan-Feb was 209.526 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 23.6% and daily average output was 3.551 million tons.
In Jan-Feb, the ferroalloys production was 7.179 million tons, up 27.9% YoY.
China Taiyuan coal transaction price index stood at 138.93 points Monday, down 2.75 percent week on week.
The index, released by China Taiyuan Coal Transaction Center (CTCTC) based in Shanxi, a coal-rich province, reflects the coal price levels and changes in the main production areas of China. It is published every Monday.
