【Ferro-alloys.com】Bosai Group invested RM10.6 billion in projects in Kuantan
Bosai Minerals Group Co Ltd (Bosai Group) will invest RM10.6 billion in the construction of the 'Coke-Electricity-Aluminum and Ferroalloy' circular economic industrial project at the Malaysia-China Industrial Park Kuantan, Pahang.
The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park is a major cooperation project between Malaysia and China with the policy of 'Two Country, Twin Park'.
“With a favorable industrial policy, a good new deep water terminal and complete supporting infrastructure, Kuantan, which is rich in natural resources, bauxite and manganese ore, can supply stable key raw materials for metal production."This new project will definitely be able to promote the advantages of natural resources and logistics more effectively," he said in a statement on Monday.
On Monday, Ismail Sabri held a meeting with Chongqing Bosai Group Chairman Yuan Zhilun to hear a report on Bosai Group's proposed investment and construction in Malaysia.
It focuses on green technology, the use of mineral resources in Pahang and creating local employment opportunities.Bosai Group, established in 1994, focuses on the aluminum, manganese and non -ferrous metal manufacturing industries and is listed among the top 500 private enterprises in China and ranked first in Chongqing's private manufacturing enterprises by 2020.Commenting further, Ismail Sabri said, the project will cover 660 acres of land and is expected to create 5,000 jobs.
“It adopts industry -leading green technology and renewable energy technology.
"This project is scheduled to start construction in 2022 and will generate more than RM21 billion in sales revenue after completion of construction and production," he said.
